JD PayPal Button Joomla module allows you to collect payments of any kind on your website. You can sell single products such as eBooks, courses, create donation campaigns, and sell subscription-based services using the PayPal Button Module.
Let’s understand how to integrate it on your Joomla website.
Once you downloaded and installed the module on your Joomla website, navigate to Extensions > Modules. Click on New to create a new module. Look for JD Paypal Button and click on it. You will be redirected to the module settings page.
Module Tab
The module tab includes all the basic configurations that you need to set up to accept the payments.
- PayPal Email – Enter your PayPal email address on which you want to receive the payment.
- Currency – Choose between multiple currencies. This is currency in which you want to charge your users.
- Payment Type – Choose between Checkout, Donation, and Subscription.
- Redirect URL After Transaction –
Checkout Type
- Product Name – Enter your product name which you are selling. (This name will appear when the user is redirected to Paypal).
- Product Price – Enter the price of the product
- Shipping Charges – Do you charge for shipping? If yes, select Yes.
- Amount – Enter Shipping amount. This will be added in the total cost of the product.
- Tax Type – Is the tax payable on the product? If yes, select any from Percentage and Fixed
- Tax Percentage – Set your tax percentage.
- Tax Fixed Value – Set the fixed tax amount
Donation Type
- Donation Sum – Choose between Optional or Fixed.
- If Optional selected, the user will have the option to enter the amount when the user is redirected at PayPal.
- If the Fixed Amount selected, Enter the amount. User will not have any option to modify the amount when he will be redirected to PayPal.
Subscription Type
- Product Name – Enter your product name which you are selling. (This name will appear when the user is redirected to Paypal).
- Product Price – Enter the price of the product
- Billing Interval – Choose between Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Yearly or set Custom interval for billing.
- You can set a custom billing interval by selecting the Custom from the billing interval.
- Recurring Payments – Do you want to enable auto renewal for the subscription. If yes, switch to Yes.
Button Tab
Button tab includes all the styles and settings for the look and feel of the button.
- Button Text – Type your button’s text e.i. Buy Now, etc
- Button size – Choose the button’s size between Small, Medium, and Large
- Button Alignment – Select the Button alignment where you want to place the button.
- Button Elements – Select what elements you want to show along with the Button text.
- Payment Cards – Do you want to show payment cards below the button? If yes, select which one.
- Payment Card Size – Control the Payment card size.
- PayPal Logo – Do you want to use the original PayPal logo color or want to make it White.
- Icon Position – Select where you want to show the Icon. You can set it before or after the Button text.
- Icon Spacing – Control the spacing between Icon and button text.
- Background Color – Set the button background color
- Background Hover Color – Set the button background hover color
- Text Color – Set the button text color
- Text Hover Color – Set the button text hover color.
Additional Options
The additional options tab includes other advanced options.
- Sandbox – Test out the functionality on a sandbox to ensure everything works properly. Switch Yes/No. Also make sure to switch to no once you are done with the testing. Click here to know more.
- Sandbox Email Address – This is the address given to you by PayPal when you set up a sandbox with your developer account. You can use the sandbox to test your purchase flow.
- Custom Message – Select Yes to add you custom error message and Paypal not connected error message.
- Open PayPal in New Tab – Select Yes to open Paypal in a new tab.
- Custom SSS – You can add your custom CSS if you want to style the PayPal button.
